On March 17, 2022, Ford + Bergner LLP Managing Partner Don D. Ford III and associate J. Crispin Clarke had the honor of teaching other attorneys around Texas in a seminar entitled “Trust Taxes from A to Z.”
As the title of the seminar implies, the all-day presentation included a variety of topics relating to the taxation of trusts. In particular, Ford and Clarke spoke on various topics relating to income taxes, estate taxes, and gift taxes related to various trusts, and they also discussed various tax strategies that many clients employ both when they create a trust and also when they are administering a trust over the long term.
As you can imagine, these topics arise frequently in the context of our estate planning clients who utilize trusts as a part of their planning. If you have a trust or are thinking of including a trust as a part of your estate planning, please contact us so that we can discuss the tax issues surrounding your trust.
Mr. Ford and Mr. Clarke appreciated the opportunity to speak to attorneys around Texas on the Taxation of Trusts. On June 1, 2022, Mr. Ford and F+B associate Samuel Hodges will be teaching at a similar seminar entitled “The Texas Probate Process in 7 Simple Steps.” This presentation will have Mr. Ford and Mr. Hodges teaching attorneys around Texas all about the probate process and how to simplify the process for their clients.
